Mark's first team experience.

I can't believe I have been here almost seven months; I can't believe we have been married almost seven months! Everything is different than I thought it would be. Life here is not what I expected, but if it was I am not sure I would be as happy! It is so amazing to me that God messes up what our plans are and reorders our steps so that His plans are carried out and He receives the glory. Then, when we are seeking His will we will come out of it with much more joy than we ever expected.

Our first team of the season just left yesterday and we are preparing for our next team. It is not always exciting motorcycle rides, adventurous hikes to remote villages and death defying stories God healing people. Although there is some of that, many times we are cleaning, fixing, cooking, painting and moving. We are just living life to the glory of God and to the joy of people we are privileged enough to reach.

One of my favorite things is to see peoples lives changed by the power of God. It is even better when God allows me to be apart of that. Working here, God gives us many opportunities; one of my favorites is when mission groups come to help us serve the people of Honduras. Many times people come thinking they want to have a great impact on the people here. Some times they do, however mostly it is they who are changed. God uses us to change people's lives! People who came to make an  impact become the most impacted. This is the amazing God we serve!

In their hearts humans plan their course,
but the LORD establishes their steps.

Proverbs 16:9
