About Us

Mark and Heather Younger married in July of 2010 and moved to the country of Honduras to serve with Martin and Wendy Williams of Healing Hands Global (HHGlobal). The Williams family has established the Rural Dyer Hospital in the mountain village of Rio Viejo. HHGlobal operates with a mission to “provide health, hope and healing to people of the Third World.”

Heather began serving with HHGlobal as a Healing Place Church intern in the fall of 2008. As a full time volunteer, she continues to serve the ministry in an administrative capacity, helping plan community outreaches, organize incoming mission teams, mentor summer interns, and teach children in the local community about the importance of health and hygiene.

Mark joined the HHGlobal team in the summer of 2010 and has taken on the roles of facilities management, construction foreman, and mentor for summer interns.

Together the Youngers have committed to serve with Healing Hands Global until 2015. They hope to be armor bearers of the vision God has given the Williams Family, and their desire is to help carry that vision from dream into reality.

In of January 2015 the Youngers returned to their home state of Louisiana. They are still connected to the Jungle Hospital and the other ministries in the Cangrejal River Cove, and are serving them in new and different ways from the USA. Their hope is to always be a part of missions no matter where God leads them, or in what capacity He calls them to serve.

They continue to maintain this website for anyone interested in reading about how God directed them to the mission field, and back to the USA again.
