Future Plans for Our Family

As you all know, for the past few years Mark and I have been serving with Dr. Martin and Wendy Williams, founders of Healing Hands Global and the Jungle Hospital, in the village of Rio Viejo, Honduras. It has been our obedience to God, along with your kind words, committed prayers and financial gifts that have kept us secure on the mission field.
January 2015 will mark the 5th and final year of our original commitment to HHGlobal. Since last August, Mark and I have been intentionally praying about whether God would have us extend our commitment to HHGlobal or bring closure to this season of our lives. Before our trip to the states this year, we met with Dr. Martin and Wendy and shared our hearts with them and asked that they too be in prayer with us for direction from God. We also met with our leadership at Healing Place Church and spoke with key people in our lives to ask for their prayers. It is with mixed emotions that we write to inform you that we feel God is leading our family to return to the USA. Although, we are excited about the new things God has for our family, and are confident that this is His plan for us, we are also heavy hearted to leave our missionary friends and family in Honduras.
We feel that God has been preparing our hearts to return in order for Mark to take on a major role in his parent's business as they approach retirement. We hope to continue to advance the Kingdom in Honduras through future micro-enterprise endeavors using the business as a way to fund God's work. I will also continue to assist HHGlobal administratively from the USA, with the possibility of becoming a stateside representative for the ministry. We would be honored to be ambassadors for the mission and vision that God has given the Williams to bring health, hope and healing to people of the Third World.
We will continue to live and work in Honduras until the end of 2014. We have not yet set a date for our return, but it will most likely be sometime in the late-Fall early-Winter months. We have already begun making transitions here at HHGlobal, to cross train other volunteers so that our duties will still be carried out. If you are a financial supporter, we ask that you continue giving as our family will continue to live and work in Honduras until the year's end.
We also ask that everyone be in prayer for our little family and for the HHGlobal Staff. We have all grown so close over the years, and we know that our return to the states will leave a staffing gap in the ministry. Please pray for others to come and join the HHGlobal staff, for unity in our HHGlobal team, for clear communication as we transition duties, and for strength and faith as we walk out God's plan for our lives.

Honduras has been our home for so long that it almost feels like we are being called to the mission field again...where excitement and fear are so closely intertwined that it is hard to tell where one ends and the other begins. The one thing we know for certain is that we love our God and we will be obedient to His call. I remember that old hymn that says, "The cross before me, the world behind me...no turning back, no turning back." Our desire has always been to be obedient to God's will, and we will follow Him wherever He leads us.
Right now our focus is on finishing our time here with excellence and dedication. The entire year lies before us, and there is much work to be done. We are anticipating great things this year at the Jungle Hospital, and we are so glad that God has allowed us one more year to serve alongside some of the best missionaries in the world.

We understand that you may have questions so we invite you to email us at theyoungersglobal@gmail.com, if you would like to discuss things further. We promise to keep you in the loop as details fall into place and will be posting blogs and updates as new developments occur.
We continue to depend on God for strength, provision, and endurance. We love you all and we know that we would be weaker without your prayers and encouragement, so keep 'em coming!
